Why call this blog "Primitive Physick"?

John Wesley was a fascinating man, with widely varying interests.  Not many Methodists know that he had an interest in medicine and wrote a health care book called "Primitive Physick".  This blog will be about the medical care Methodists got in the18th century, the time of the Wesleys.
